JAPAN JOURNEY
Hokkaido and its surroundings
There is a lot of information that can be told and written about the island of Hokkaido, but I will give you brief information about Hokkaido without tiring you. The top island group in the northern part of the country is the Hokkaido region. It is Japan's border with Russia and is the coldest region of the country. This region, which sometimes reaches -20 degrees in winter, is one of the indispensable routes especially for motorbike lovers with its wide roads and wonderful nature. Since the population density is low on the island compared to other parts of Japan, its nature is also untouched. This region attracts visitors from many countries of the world and is famous for both summer and winter tourism. In addition to its natural structure, the indigenous people of the island, Ainu and Ainu culture, are among the other riches of the island. There are countless places to stay and camp on this island, where many bikers have been organizing tours since May. If you happen to be on the island, my advice is to spend a week or so and visit this island to the fullest.
Major cities on the island are ASAHIKAWA, HAKODATE, KUSHIRO, TOMAKOMAI and OTARU cities, especially SAPPARO, which is the capital city, are the largest cities. The island with a total of 55 cities has the lowest population density of Japan in terms of population density.
